I'm thinking about wearing the heart rate monitor I use for running all day today. I think it would be amusing to see digital proof of my harried state of mind. I'm not even trying to do something crazy like see a show in every slot, but I still feel a little frantic, rushed, dazed, and confused, as evidenced by the fact that I went to the entirely wrong show last night.
I set out to see Theory of Mind. I apparently didn't look closely enough at my little iPhone screen, however, because all I saw were the words Mixed Blood, and I set jauntily off on my bicycle. It wasn't until after I'd gotten my ticket, stood in line to be seated, found a spot to sit and settled in to look at my program that I realized I was at the wrong theater. Theory of Mind is being produced by Mixed Blood, but performances are at the Theater Garage. Doh! Luckily, the show I accidentally saw instead, A Nice Guy's Guide to Awkward Sex was delightful. You thought I was being douchey with my whole "the Fringe is like a river" thing, but I'm not lyin'! Give up, let go, and enjoy the show about awkward sex that you didn't mean to see--at least not that day. Natalie Rae Wass stole the show (and my little pink heart), which was no easy feat among such a solid cast. Really clever, really sweet and fun show.
Now for god's sake, I have to go! I have to get in line for The Damn Audition. I don't even have time to make that a link. I have to go! Argghghghghghghg! Laundry and dishes can wait another day, right? Right?? And The Damn Audition IS at Rarig, right? One way to find out...
