About us

"A very inviting new space close to Lee's Liquor Lounge. We both very much enjoyed the show. Full of fun and definitely recommended. Looking forward to our next show at the Open Window." - Goldstar Member Review, "The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge". OWT is a swanky new 100 seat black box studio theatre in one of the best locations in Minneapolis (+FREE parking!). Why do we exist? So glad you asked. At the Open Window Theatre we believe that art in its highest form should be a call to transcendence - a 'window' to the Divine and to the innermost reality of the human person and the world. "WOW! Sounds important," you say? Yep, we agree. And we take that vision seriously, though sometimes in knee-slapping, side-splitting hilarious ways. Our vision is based on a simple 7-point philosophy found, conveniently enough, right on our website. We may be the mysterious new kid on the block, but we have big ideas and we hope you'll put your faith in us again, and again, and again. So don't be strangers! We truly want our new home to be your new home, a sort of home away from home (minus the underwear on the floor). A place to gather, a place to be inspired, a place to laugh and be entertained, a place to be challenged. We look forward to seeing you soon! -Your friends at OWT
